Hey Everyone! 👋
Welcome back to my newsletter, today we’re going to be looking over the month of November! Hope all of you had a productive and enjoyable month.
If it’s your first time here, my name is Jayant Arora and I’m a 16 year old Innovator at The Knowledge Society (TKS) in Toronto, Canada.
Well, you might be wondering what I did this month. Let’s get right into it!
Mindset 🧠
The focus for this month was to get stuff done because done > perfect. This is a very striking topic to look into because more often than not, we tend to continuously change up small things in projects and never actually getting them finished – I can definitely relate to this, and I know that a lot of you can too. Being “done” with a task gets you results, while perfecting often leads to the insecurity of work. Additionally, if you’ve put in a good amount of effort and completely finish the task, you’ll be confident in your work.
“Done is better than perfect because perfect never gets done.” ✅
It was key to remember this while completing some of my targets for the month because perfection also led to procrastination. While on the topic, here’s some of the work that I tried to “get done,” instead of perfecting it.
Creating Content ✏️
As mentioned last month, I planned on releasing content on topics that I studied throughout the month of November. Staying true to my word, I wrote an article on the basics of quantum computing! Be sure to check it out here.
Throughout the process of studying quantum computing and writing an article on it, there were lots of things to learn. Obviously, I learned about what quantum computing is and its real-world applications, but here are some key takeaways on the entire process 🔑:
Sticking to a schedule 📆
o It is very important to stick to schedule when creating content. If you get behind once, everything pushes back – always schedule more time to work on your content, because it usually takes longer than expected.
Once you’re done editing, don’t spend too much time revisiting it
o Going back to the done > perfect concept, the more you wait to release your content, the more you’ll overthink and find tiny imperfections that nobody would even think of. Just trust that once you have edited, it’s good to go!
Working with Big Companies – Instacart 🥕
This month, I got the opportunity to work with Instacart by building a recommendation deck regarding ways they could improve their customer service and overall customer experience. In case you didn’t know, Instacart is a multi-billion dollar company that focuses on providing grocery and other essential items to people, from the comfort of their homes. Imagine UberEats or SkipTheDishes, but for groceries and other items people would get from superstores. A few friends and I spent the time researching and gathering information about Instacart’s current practices, brainstorming new ideas for them, talking to executives, and we are currently in the process of constructing our final recommendation! Getting the opportunity to develop ideas that can possibly be implemented by the Instacart company has been a great learning experience – more on this in December’s newsletter when we finish up.
Goals for December 👀
It’s important to set the tone for 2021 by trying to be exceptionally productive this month. For December, some of the goals I’ve set for myself are:
Finish up working on the Instacart Recommendation (Early Dec.)
Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI)
o Study BCI’s in depth
o Write an article on BCI’s
o Start to work on a project relating to BCI’s
Write a newsletter for the month of December
Anyway, that’s it for me! I wish you all the best for this month. Last month of this unimaginable year, let’s Hustle Hard – Rick Ross. 💪

Great newsletter this month Jayant! Great insight into the idea of getting the job done rather than perfecting it to the last point. Congrats on the opportunity to work with Instacart and I hope to receive more updates about this!
